The Cyclopark Charity based at The Tollgate, Watling Street, Gravesend is a popular, health and wellbeing charity focused on a mission to get people moving more on foot as well as on wheels.
Cyclopark is not a traditional destination venue or leisure centre. The charity aims to provide a blueprint for how public leisure assets can and should serve those most in need in their communities through accessible activities to work to the Public Health agenda and ultimately relieve the strain on the NHS.
CEO Jonny Hamp said: “There have been some amazing highlight moments and 2025 was no exception.
“The charity hosted three British Championship events in BMX, Cyclo-Cross and Para-cycling, bringing inspiration to potential new riders, aspiration to existing riders and an important profile and economic impact to the borough alongside significant individual success.
“This included Elsa Rendall-Todd, who became the first Team GB rider to be selected for the Olympic Development Squad in both race and freestyle BMX having started riding at Cyclopark in 2012 aged three.”
Also on offer this year are 25,000 free places of activity through the MnM Gravesham programme with weekly Wednesday night circuit riding for club cyclists and weekly Monday night local community wellbeing rides.
That is set to expand in the autumn into a very exciting programme for the local community with hundreds of free balance bike sessions for Reception and Year 1 children this July and August, offered in association with Kent Active Travel.
