New York3rS is a small, family-run halal takeaway and casual eatery at 44 High Street, Gravesend, serving two distinct menus from one open kitchen.
Established in March 2024 and run day to day by Rita and her husband, the business pairs New York-inspired comfort food, pizzas, loaded pastas and gourmet burgers, with Chaat N Chai Adda, a fresh Indian street food and chai counter launched in February 2025.
Rather than keeping the two brands visually separate, the decor is a deliberate mash-up of both, a beautiful chaos of diversity that customers love.
The site is deliberately small, at around 16 covers, with an open kitchen so customers can watch every dish cooked from scratch.
Everything on the Indian menu is made fresh in house with nothing frozen: small snack-style items such as chai, samosas and street-food plates rather than large meals, priced low with no compromise on quality.
The relaxed, community feel and the theatre of the open kitchen have made it a genuine local hangout, open from breakfast at 8.30am through to a late bite at 10pm.
